About
Who Built This, and Why
Webpage Anatomy is a free, interactive teaching tool, built by one person, for anyone trying to understand how a webpage actually goes together.
The short version
Built by Creativepea
I run Creativepea, a small web design studio, alongside its technical sister business, DevNinja. I'm also a graduate of The Brief Collective's DBA University, a coaching program for brand designers. Most of my work is client projects, but this page exists because I kept explaining the same concepts over and over, and a static explanation never landed the way a page you can actually take apart does.
So this page teaches by letting you poke at it. Hover a marker and see what it is. Toggle an outline and watch semantic HTML stop being invisible. Answer a quiz question and get graded instantly. That is the whole idea: show, don't just tell.
The practical version
How This Page Stays Free
Webpage Anatomy does not run ads and does not sell anything on its own. A few links on the Resources page are affiliate links, marked with an asterisk, and there is a Ko-fi link if this page saved you time and you want to say thanks. Neither is required to use anything here.
Everything on this page is fact-checked against real sources, not guessed at. Where a claim needed a source, one is linked. Where a demo could be built to actually work instead of just being described, it was built that way.
